Good morning from Hakuba.

It's a mix of rain and sleet at base areas early this morning though snow is falling as you get higher up.

Hopefully temperatures will remain low and we'll get some snow down to base today. Different forecasts seem to be predicting rather different scenarios for the next few days - rain? snow? heavy snow overnight? Not sure what to say other than we'll just have to wait and see what nature delivers.

It would be fantastic if we could get another layer of fresh out there.

---

The national holiday is gone and we're back to a normal weekday. We are also into the last chunk of the season now and starting to see a few lifts getting rested here and there as well as some cheaper lift ticket prices. It's good to see that in terms of snow cover, there are no forced early closings. I will be updating details on 'what's open and what's not open' when we get to that stage!

LATE SEASON REPORTING
The individual Now reports will continue in each area until the season in that place closes - some will continue daily until the end, some will become less than daily now that we are in April.

Once the season has finished everywhere, we will be adding a general season wrap up to each of the reports, where we will also answer questions and comments that we regularly get sent. Some do keep on coming back! The end of season message will be up at the end of Golden Week in early May.

Thank you for reading.
