Good morning from Hakuba.

The clouds from yesterday have moved on and this morning it's one of those spectacular starts to the day with gorgeous blue skies as the backdrop to the mountains.

There'll be some fun and fast conditions early on, but the sun will surely loosen things up as the day progresses.

It is the last day of the season (for Hakuba Cortina, Norikura, Kashimayari) but it still somehow looks and feels like it shouldn't be happening just yet. From what I can see, we still have very good snow cover down to lower slopes - and certainly absolutely no issues in higher areas and some healthy looking snow depths.

There should be no problem this year with the four resorts that plan to remain open until 7th May.

LATE SEASON REPORTING
The individual Now reports will continue in each area until the season in that place closes - some will continue daily until the end, some will become less than daily now that we are in April.

Once the season has finished everywhere, we will be adding a general season wrap up to each of the reports, where we will also answer questions and comments that we regularly get sent. Some do keep on coming back! The end of season message will be up at the end of Golden Week in early May.

Thank you for reading.
