It has been a lovely day in Hakuba with some bright blue skies and just a few wispy clouds here and there adding to the dramatic scenery.

Today we had a high of around 5 degrees. Tomorrow and Wednesday are also set to be clear and sunny and it looks as if each day will ger progressively warmer.

We're really into spring territory now with just Goryu, 47, Happo and Tsugaike remaining part open (see below) and other resorts now closed. But there's still a fair amount of skijo terrain still available and really good snow cover too down to the bottom and so we can look forward to another month or so of riding.

Official snow depths and operations @ Monday 4th April AM:

Hakuba Goryu:
The upper slopes at Goryu plan to be open until 8th May.
The Gondola and Alps No3 pair lifts are operating.
The Toomi area lifts are now closed for the season, but you can still ride down to the Gondola base.
Alps daira - 255cm;
Toomi - 115cm.

Hakuba 47:
All lifts except Line D lift operating with all courses open (some courses will remain ungroomed). 47 also plans to be open into May.
Snow depth (upper) - 198cm

Happo-one:
The Gondola, Alpen Quad, Kurobishi No2 Quad and Panorama pair lifts remain open and The upper slopes are planning to be open until 5th May (lower slopes now closed). In addition, the Grat Quad also plans to be moving on Saturdays, Sundays and also from 29th April until 5th May. You can still ride down to the base Gondola station as there is still good snow cover.
Usagidaira/Kurobishi - 190cm

Tsugaike Kogen:
Limited lift operations on upper slopes now at Tsugaike, but the Gondola is operating and it is possible to ski/board down to the bottom of the resort.
Snow depth upper - 300cm

Hakuba Iwatake, Hakuba Sanosaka, Cortina and Hakuba Minekata are now all closed for the season.
