Good morning from Hakuba.

A bit windy up there at times yesterday, but nice sunny weather for the day with a bit more cloud and hazy feel later on in the day.

No fresh snow to report as expected and this morning there's some cloud around the mountains but generally blue skies once again. The sun is out and casting some shadows in places as it sometimes gets covered by cloud.

Looks like it's quite windy again on mountain this morning (doesn't feel windy down here now) but at the time of writing the only lift disruption I can see is on a few higher lifts at Happo-one. Hopefully that will quickly change.

It's the '2017 Alpine Skiing World Cup Hakuba' event starts from today and runs through until Tuesday. Apparently there are people from 14 countries taking part. There are some course restrictions at some courses at Happo-one (Panorama - Olympic - Sakka) for the event.

The forecast is looking good for fresh snow in the coming week still. It might start off as a bit of rain tomorrow but get stuck into snow fairly quickly. Bring it on, I say!

LATE SEASON REPORTING
The individual Now reports will continue in each area until the season in that place closes - some will continue daily, some will become less than daily once we get into April.

Once the season has finished everywhere, we will be adding a general season wrap up to each of the reports, where we will also answer questions and comments that we regularly get sent. Some do keep on coming back! The end of season message will be up at the end of Golden Week in early May.

Thank you for reading.
