The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here

Good morning from Hakuba. I have to post an early on today and so this is going out earlier than most resort info is available (sorry!)

The blue skies in the morning gradually turned into rather grey and overcast conditions. Still, it remained bright and the sun was trying to get through the thin clouds through mid-afternoon.

A very spring like feel to the day, feeling rather mild and snow conditions quickly softening up.

But let’s get back to winter, shall we?

We are starting off the day with dull and grey overcast/cloudy conditions. My friend down in Omachi (to the south of Hakuba) just said there were a few spots of rain, but it's dry here right now.

All things going well, I will be reporting fresh snow in my next report – and the few days after that too. Yes, regular snow is on the forecast for most of this week which is rather exciting to see. It doesn’t look like wind should be much of an issue either, so potentially it might be a really good week ahead.

(Don’t get too disheartened if there’s a bit of rain tonight before the snow – it shouldn’t be lasting long as things start getting colder later today).
