Good morning everyone.

Last night I was out for my traditional 'last nighta'. Didn't last long, but it had to be done. It's going to be kind of lonely not seeing all those floodlights on in an evening now. The last lifts will now be open until 4:30pm.

On to this morning, and... where's the sun!? After a run of fine and sunny weather, the sun has decided to take a well-earned rest this morning - it's overcast skies and mild conditions this morning, and it's going to warm up. The local forecast says it will rise to around +7C in Kutchan this afternoon.

But I know you want the more exciting news, don't you? Me too.

Well, it is going to get colder tonight and there is (light) snow dotted across the forecast over the following few days. Hardly any; or a nice surprise? I'll keep you updated!

Fingers crossed everyone.

---

The sun is taking a well-earned rest this morning, and so from today are a few lifts around the mountain as we head into the last section of the season. These rested lifts don't affect the terrain that is open but worth noting. Here are the lifts that I believe are resting from today:

Niseko Grand Hirafu - Ace Number 1, King Number 1, Ace Number 4
Niseko Village - Morino Chair
Niseko Annupuri - Jumbo Number 3

---

Resort specific opening news at time of writing (subject to change during the day):

Niseko Grand Hirafu
Niseko HANAZONO Resort
Niseko Village
Niseko Annupuri
A few lifts are now closed for the season but all resort areas remain open as normal

---

Official resort snow depths as of Tuesday 21st March 2017:

Niseko Grand Hirafu & Hanazono
Top - 320cm
Base - 130cm

Niseko Village
Top - 300cm
Base - 140cm

Niseko Annupuri
Top - 295cm
Base - 140cm

---

Planned closing dates
Niseko Grand Hirafu plans to be open daily until Sunday 7th May
Niseko Hanazono plans to be open daily until Sunday 2nd April
Niseko Village plans to be open daily until Sunday 2nd April (and then from 28th April until 7th May)
Niseko Annupuri plans to be open daily until Sunday 7th May

LATE SEASON REPORTING
The individual Now reports will continue in each area until the season in that place closes - some will continue daily, some will become less than daily once we get into April.

Once the season has finished everywhere, we will be adding a general season wrap up to each of the reports, where we will also answer questions and comments that we regularly get sent. Some do keep on coming back! The end of season message will be up at the end of Golden Week in early May.

Thank you for reading.
