Cloudy, some fair skies over Yuzawa, more cloud to the north
Good morning from Yuzawa.
Yesterday the rain did ease off and the roads were dry in the middle of the day but there was some more rain in places later in the afternoon.
A bit foggy in places too.
This morning it's brighter. A gentle mix of light blue sky and thin clouds. Looks like rain is expected again later this afternoon so once again an early start is recommended. It's going to be another warm day with temperatures once again set to rise close to 20C during the day.
Tomorrow? Generally cloudy with a chance of light rain in the afternoon - and not quite as warm as today.
Naeba and Maiko Snow Resort ski resorts have re-opened for the weekend.
Maiko Snow Resort has got the Gondola, Okusoeji quad and Nagamine Number 2 quad operating (the Maiko Area is not open). Naeba have their Number 2 Gondola, Number 5 high speed lift and Takenokodaira romance lifts operating.
Tomorrow is the last day of the season for the following ski resorts:
From Monday, only GALA Yuzawa, Kagura, Kandatsu Kogen - and Naeba at the weekends - will remain open.

GALA Yuzawa The Central Area, North Area, downhill course and sledding area are all open today. Official snow depth: 330cm
Iwappara 3 courses are Iwappara remain open. Official snow depth: 70cm
Joetsu Kokusai 9 courses at Joetsu Kokusai remain open - the area in front of the main hotel and the Panorama Zone. Official snow depth: 160cm
Kagura Almost all of Kagura courses remain open. Closed courses according to official website - Gondola East Course at Tashiro and the downhill course back to Mitsumata car park (checking). Official snow depth: Kagura - 350cm; Mitsumata - 300cm; Tashiro - 320cm
Kandatsu Kogen All courses at Kandatsu Kogen remain open. Spring nighta (6pm-10pm) on Saturdays and nights before holidays from 7th April until 22nd April. Official snow depth: 250cm
Maiko Snow Resort The Okusoeji and Nagamine areas are open for this weekend. Official snow depth: 240cm (top); 50cm (base)
Naeba The Number 2 Gondola, Number 5 high speed lift and Takenokodaira romance lifts operating for the weekend - top to bottom skiing possible. Official snow depth: 200cm
NASPA Ski Garden All courses apart from C course remain open. Official snow depth: 165cm

It's not quite as warm this morning though still well into positive numbers.
At the moment it is just cloudy though there seems to be a chance of a few spots of rain but we should be enjoying fine and sunny weather tomorrow.
Onsenzawa and Miharashi aside, all courses at Niseko Grand Hirafu remain open.
The Hirafu Gondola doesn't appear to be opening as planned at 8:30am - maybe a delay there... something to keep an eye on.

Cloudy, fog in places
Morning from Hakuba.
A kind of light drizzle at the moment here and lots of cloud around. Going to be warm again today too.
At the beginning of the day there's rather poor visibility around the slopes by the looks of things on the webcams.
It's going to be cooler tomorrow and currently cloudy conditions are forecast for the day.
Tomorrow is the last day of the season for a few more lifts - noted below for Happo-one and Tsugaike - and so from Monday we kind of enter the last bit of the season.

Good morning from Grandeco.
No rain, a gentle wind, a calm and quiet morning this Saturday.
Snow depth is decreasing every day but there's still a lot around especially on the courses.
Soft spring snow conditions and not icy - a good waxing of the skis or board is recommended.
There's no snow on the roads now but careful in the early morning or evening - it can be icy at times.
There is no snow forecast for the coming week (maybe something around the middle of the month?)

Hello and good morning from Nozawa Onsen.
What to report this morning? The sun is out at the moment actually over the village, more cloud to see higher up but generally fine conditions.
It's going to be a warm day once again. Let's hope the weather stays good and rain holds off over the weekend.

We are having a break from the warm spring weather of the last few days. Today is just +3c in the village and the moderate wind is sure making things feel chilly. I have the heater back on after having had it off for the daytime over the last three days. The sky is overcast and looks like it could produce some rain.
