Morning from Yuzawa.
And unfortunately, it's raining... even up at Kagura. :(
Not the best way to sign off the for the season at Iwappara, Joetsu Kokusai, Maiko Snow Resort and NASPA Ski Garden - all open for the last day of their season today. Hopefully, it will ease off before the lifts start though rain is currently forecast until late afternoon.
Oh well, there's nothing we can do about the weather is there.
Yesterday temperatures hit 20C in the area though today it is not as warm, as you might expect.

Blue sky and some thin cloud
We are back to fine weather today, and probably tomorrow too.
Is that a bit of snowfall on the forecast for around late Wednesday into Thursday? That would be a nice bonus.
There are four weeks left to go and for the moment it's still top to bottom courses and not at all busy.

Sunday 9th April 2017, 8:16am
It's raining, I'm sorry to have to report. And you can see the spots of rain up on top as well as base on the images below. Not the nicest of mornings, for sure! Fingers crossed it might get less and/or stop this afternoon (or sooner, of course).
It's not as warm as it has been but I think I would prefer the sun and warmth myself.
Sun is forecast to be back with us tomorrow.

Hello everyone and good morning.
It was light drizzle yesterday when I made my report and alas, it's still raining this morning. So it hasn't been a particularly nice weekend weather-wise.
The good here is that the rain should be wrapping up this morning and skies should be clearer later on with maybe even some sunshine. And tomorrow should be fine from the start of the day.
Today is the last day of the season for a few more lifts - noted below for Happo-one and Tsugaike - and so from tomorrow we enter the last stage of the season.

Not a great way to start the last day at Akakura Onsen... rain and fog.
Really foggy at the moment, in fact, with visibility around 50m at base level.
It's great that they added an extra week, though, and we send out thanks and respect.
And the two Akakura resorts are only now showing levels under three meters. So, the day is bad but the season remains good.
