Stayed a week with teenage daughter.

Fantastic snow with excellent groomed runs.

Heaps of powder in the trees can be found.

Did not see a lift queue even on weekends.

Great visibility even when snowing. Cloud seem to be well above the summit of the mountain.

Limited options for western meals at resort but can find food if you look that isnt raw fish etc. Costs about $30 (aus) for a main meal and $15 for lunch. Can of beer $3 and soft drink $1.50. Buffett

Just back from a special place that I believe has been unfairly criticised for its off piste policy.

The fact is that this resort is in a national park and the lease only extends to the piste areas. To igore this is not to appreciate what a special place Furano is. The accomodation options are great with super access to the slopes. The food

Niseko was great, the snow is as good as they say it is, but you have to be at the lifts early to get first tracks.

The terrain can be a bit limited, but it really isn't a problem with as much snow as there is

Hirafu would've been better as even when it's sunny the sun doesn't touch many of the slopes.

Whichever of the three connected resorts you stay at head straight to the top of the mountain first thing in the morning for the best snow.

80% of lifts were open at this time
