Akakura Onsen review
There are some really long runs and good variety, some fun tree routes and routes below the chair lift and didn't appear to be patrolled.

Great fun for those who are new to boarding in deep powder.

Parking and closeness to expressway also makes this resort more appealing. Hotel was cheap and cosy (Canada house) and plenty of other resorts close by

Having previously lived in California, I have only been skiing and boarding in Southern California, Tahoe and British Columbia. Thus, I jumped at the chance to board in Japan this year.

Naeba seems to be celebrating its 40th year in operation, as the old black and white photos in the Prince Hotel seem to attest. Indeed, the resort is inadvertedly linked to its operators, the Prince Hotel, whose back doors open to Naeba's slopes.

Great new site by the way - we are lucky. I have been to Naeba a few times and had very different experiences. Once it was perfect - a great blue sky Monday and not many people around.

The snow was fantastic. Perfect.

The next time was a weekend - and it was blizzarding (is that a word?), and it wasn't so good. All I can say is - go on a quiet day and you are sure for a
