We were staying in Otaru and decided to take the bus up to Asari somehow got there on the bus (bus driver was very nice). Was lucky enough that there where some young skiers on the same bus and I could follow then to asari. it was couple minute walk from bus station
When I got there got the lift upto the top and was greeted with a run of fresh powder underneath the highest lift. Seemed like it was only me and 1 other Japanese shreader on a powderboard.
Was snowing most the day and visibility was low but had a great time, there's probably not much for advanced riders but enough for me. Had a stirfry/rice dish from the café (very good).
Very uncrowded, seemed like was the only westerner there, would defintly go back if in the otaru area
(Hint: don't miss the bus back to Otaru as it is a long walk back to main road)
No specific date.
Snow condition on visit:
Snowing, limited visibility
Things I liked:
Food, first powder experience, lack of crowds
Things I didn't like:
Missing the bus back :)
Authentic Japan experience
