Daisen White Resort review by Daz |
I will start by saying that the snow was actually quite good on piste, and the slushy spring like conditions was a welcome change from the glass like icy conditions I faced when I was in Canada.
That being said obviously the mountain is small compared to what im used to and not very steep. A good skier or boarder would easily get bored spending an entire day there, but this is Western Japan so what do you expect.\r\n\r\nThe layout |

Oku Daizen review by Anthony |
Great place to go snowboarding in the san-in area.
Last 2 years I went to Kokusai, wich is much bigger and a lot more crowded. After going to Okudaizen I found my new favorite place in Japan. They have several jumps, and rails, and the walls are perfect for tricks all the way down. 1 run looks like a huge half pipe. This is not a good place for skiing, only snowboarding. 85% snowboarders. |

Daisen White Resort review by ger |
Daisen is the most popular destination from Kochi and other parts of Shikoku but I would like to warn against visiting Daisen, especially since there are respectable resorts in Northern Hyogo about the same distance away.
There is no advanced terrain, the layout of the lifts is terrible and the hills are crowded.
Strangely, bus tours from Kochi to Daisen are always full but tours to other places are often cancelled because of lack of interest.

Daisen White Resort review by Kawaii Kiwi |
My review is biased by emotional attachment to my local mountain - but it is really good!
It's not Nagano but if you're anywhere around here it's definately enough to keep even good boarders entertained and happy for the winter! The Champion course is pretty long and hardly has queues. The snow has been great this year, packed and powdery!
Definitely worth a few visits |

Daisen Daisen Daisen. This is a great resort. Now my opinion might be a little skewed since last weekend I was at Hachi Kita where I paid 1800 yen to park and had to wait in lines for the majority of the day, Daisen in comparison is utopia.
It was snowing both days that I went so the conditions were fantastic. Fresh powder was everywhere even in the middle of a few runs. Even though it was |

Wakasa Hyonosen review by Victor |
This is a great little place to go for half a day. The snow is fantastic up here with tons of soft powder. Even at the busiest times the longest wait for a lift is less then 5 minutes.
The downfall to the hill is the size. Unfortunately Hynosen is quite small and for a veteran snowboarder or skier it will be a little boring. For beginners it is a great place, and the half |

One of the resorts on Daisen down here in southern Honshu! A seclection of lifts and a decent variety of courses make up this place which is my local. Very much a skiers resort. The place doesn't get too much snow in a season, so best to check up before going |
