Nice for budding begginers
Finally have good snow after 2015/2016 season's drought.

Nice long beginner runs going to blues.

I'm still a beginner and the long green run on the gondola is a nice place to practice and challenge myself.

The panorama view is too scenic (slow) so I only had the greens and the blues to play in.

Resort is big enough for you to enjoy the whole day and the gondola run is long and worth the wait

Spectacular!
I noticed that the last review was from before the tsunami and nuclear accident. Don't stay away from Fukushima ski areas; they can be brilliant.

The slopes are well groomed and when the weather is nice (as on Friday the 6th), the scenery is beyond beautiful all the way down – Mt. Bandai towering over the ski area and the Aizu valley and Lake Inawashiro at your feet.... great!

The food in the restaurants is a little pricey, but not for

Took my kids there for a couple of days on recommendation from a friend.

They are pretty good skiers as this is their 4th season, but felt needed to get them some lessons to help solidify their technique. We signed them up for group lessons, but on both Fri and Sat they only had themselves or one other kid in the group and got a lot of skiing in with very good attention by the teacher. Most teachers speak decent

Great resort overall, this is my 5 snowboarding trip in japan(shiga kogen, urabandai, niseko, kagura, oze iwakura) this season.

This resort's line's were probably the most fun (have to add I'm a beginner, so mostly stick to green lines). Especially the park. Saw a huge superpipe down there too. Too bad the snow conditions weren't great, in the morning there was some nice snow, but even then I could feel the ice beneath it, in afternoon all the crowds

The first ski experience in Japan (have since had others to compare).

Must say was very impressed. Lots of options for varying degrees of difficulty. All runs were well groomed. Many lift options to keep the lines short, never waited. Lower runs could tend to get a bit crowded, but upper runs opened into an array of different slopes and were quite open. Lots of options for food, a lunch of burger and fries was 1,000Y.

Nice recreation area for

Spring has really hit Fukushima. Alts is a pretty big place with plenty to offer....IF it has a decent dump.

There are plenty of trees to explore and if you like the park, I can't imagine a better place to come because its got oodles of features. After all the X-Trail games were held here the other week. Up top the snow still resembled powder in a heavy used sort of way. I had fun here and would come back

Nice hill to ride, good glades not so steep so an easy tree cruise time with friends.

Watch out for ski patrol cos if they catch you anywhere near a tree they will try take a pass off you.

Apparently glades aren't part of the course. See you in the trees

Three long runs, one center, one left and one right. Great set up if you have kids!!

Some challenging slopes with good snow at the top of the mountain. Main runs can get crowded on weekends. Very good high speed lifts and gondola. Modern set up - excellent hotel with all facilities running with the usual modern-technology and efficiency you take for granted here.

Worth a weekend visit

The nice thing about ALTS is that it's too far for most people in Tokyo. That means less crowds on many lifts, but you have to get out of the main area.

There are several mountains and to get to my favorite, you have to go up and down a few times to get to the far left which has three lifts with few people. The runs maybe short, but they're a lot of fun.

The restaurants serve good food and the

I love it. There are lots of tree runs and great powder lines if you dare to venture off of the groomed runs. Like all of Japan, there are lots of closed areas, and I was given the "soko wa cosu ja nai desu yo" a few times, but it was hard to resist.

The parks are dope, as this is the place for the 2005 Nippon Open. The super pipe was not finished/open yet, but there were lots of jibs,

I went with my 8-year-old son.

The both of us are new at snowboarding (I'm a previous skier, now converted.) This was our third attempt at snowboarding.

The weather forecast said "cloudy with some snow," but when we got there the guy at the ticket booth said the wind was strong so a few lifts were out-of-order. Big shock for my son, who wanted to ride the gondola.

So, what it ended up to be was a choice of 2 working
