Megahira Onsen Megahira review by Jai
Megahira has good lift access to the slopes. Took my son on his first ski trip and the ski school was good and the bunny slope was great for practice.

It has snowed fresh and there was lots of powder making this a fun ski.

Too many boarders though, so if you are skiing then watch out for the beginners who seemed to be where the did not belong.

Although there is some choice in restaurants the food was terrible. All of

We started our weekend here, if your new then give up the idea of the bunny slope as it is too packed with parents guiding there little one's right in front of you. from the mid mountain is a good place to shake off the rust. but your guarenteed to dodge people sitting in the middle of the run or going the hole run side ways more than youd ever have to dodge a tree in the wild. I've been very pleased with the conditions at Megahira.

I've probably gone over 20 times to this resort. When there is fresh snowfall, the powder rivals Lake Tahoe. The artificial snow making is much better here than in the states, for instance Big Bear in California. It's a good place for all skill levels. There are lots of food options too and they're delicious. There is also a free foot onsen near the parking lot to

Megahira Onsen Megahira review by Fingers
Unusual but effective snow making allowed this resort to open early.

Board to skier ratio 9 to 1.

Has a new high speed quad which makes this a better destination than you might think.

Very nice spa with 45,000 year old petrified wood hot tubs for apres skiing. Low admission price for spa makes it a bargin.

Decent restaurant in Spa.

Museum on site.

Will go again
