Great mid size resort that is far enough removed from the big cities to avoid the mad crowds on weekends.
It's vertically shaped gelande offer many varied runs for various skill levels, and the Kokusetsu area up top offers nice powder snow. There's lots of potential for tree runs that I didn't get to explore enough this time. And there are also nice long courses with decent steepness.
To top it all off, the new(ish) day trip facility, M Plaza, with the
I'd easily give this resort 5 stars if it weren't for the patrol. The trees are some of the best in Japan and there is almost always deep powder off the runs.
I have skied at this resort on and off for 2 seasons and have been caught more than 4 or 5 times. Sticking just to the cut runs there isn't much to this resort for the advanced skier. It would get boring really quick.
