The mountain is fairly restricted - only a few trails and they go crazy if you go off-trail, they groom everywhere on-trail aswell.

The whole right side of the mountain doesnt open, except for a short lift on the weekends.

There is one 1ft table ha. the snow was good at times. There is no town, just a few hotels, so no nightlife at all.

The focus of the entire place is on onsen's not the mountain, so

Yes, it smells funny, but the onsen water is *good for your skin* (well it'd wanna be)!

This is a big place. I went with a group of friends, one of whom is a part time instructor at the resort so I spent a lot of time practicing turns in a near white out...I don't remember a whole lot else.

There are good wide gerende (for practicing turns) and some fun trails. When the sky cleared the views are great. There was

Liked it a lot, thought for beginners and intermediate its perfect, snow was fantastic and because of the high altitude skiing was great even this time of year.

Good variety of runs will keep u going for a few days. Bonus if ur driving, u need a car to get here really and as its tough to get to its not crowded.

Onsens here are fantastic, Manza Onsen Hotel has some of the most recommended in Japan. Prince too has a

A really nice well laid out medium size resort. Although you need to take a bus to get to the other mountain.

But you only need to take one lift to get a reasonable ride with enough courses for good variation.

nAdvanced looking for a challenge mught be a little disapointed but for a fun day with friends with a good amount of tree to go through;(if you are willing to duck a rope).

A very fun day out

Really impressive little place. Fast quads here and there, with good food and a mix of skiers.

Scenic, some nice trails - this is one of the best family skifield in Gunma (forget Kusatsu, even if you are based in Kusatsu).

But 1-2 advanced trails for practicing on

Spent a day here and really liked this place.

Even thought the snow was old, it was in good condition and there was still untouched stuff to make lines in.

Met two Kiwis who were working there. They said there was no park. I didn't get to explore as I was enjoying playing in the trees too much.

Hospitality monopilised by the Prince Hotels lot, so fairly pricy.

Stinky onsen is one of the better ones I've tried, recommended.

Tricky to get to but definitly

It takes a long time to get to this resort. But that also means its not too crowded.

There are a variety of courses plus a halfpipe. And its a 'gentle' halfpipe.

Probably best for intermediate level snowboarders.

A fairly small resort on the back side of the Shiga Kogen mountains - technically in Gunma and reached from the Gunma side in winter (in summer you can drive right through from Gunma into Shiga K and beyond).

Not too busy, out of the way, nice onsen, nothing specatacular.

Good for a family or romantic time.
