Nice resort easy to get to from Sendai
This resort was easily accessible by booking a shuttle bus and lift ticket package from the Sendai Tourist Information Desk at Sendai Station for 5,400 yen. The mountain has a similar set up to others around the region like Spring Valley and Sumikawa.

This is a small resort that doesn't offer too much terrain, but enough for a quick day trip. Chairlift F is where you will find the most interesting challenging terrain, and just beside, chairlift E will give you

Miyagi Zao Eboshi review by Joey B
I've been to Eboshi several times. On a snowy day, it can be a lot of fun. Of course this is Miyagi, so it can easily warm up in the morning and in that case the conditions are not so hot.

This day I took my girlfriend here to learn to snowboard. The gondola is nice but the condition that high up were icy and wind blows off any incoming powder. Lower down the trails are beaten enough that its much

One word sums up this decent sized resort on the less glamorous side of Zao, and that's potential.

The resort is well laid out with a gondola halfway up the hill and then chairs to the top. There are a number of ways down which suit a range of skill levels, from a gentle run all the way down to some mogulled up steeps to challenge those who rate themselves.

Unfortunately all the interesting stuff is out of

Miyagi Zao Eboshi review by akemitakada
Zao Eboshi is for the beginner or intermediate rider/skiier.

There are some moguls that resemble craters (good for skiiers, not so good for riders) and in some places, the fun was groomed right out of the run. There were, however, some au naturel powdery areas to be found which made Eboshi a fun place to play.

If you go on a clear day, the views are amazing! Bring your camera.

Also noteworthy: short waiting times, midsized jumps and good food.

A pretty decent resort with lots to challenge the intermediate / beginner skiier, and some great fast courses too.

When the sun is out, great views too. Food etc is pretty crappy, but that's no surprise, and it is a bit pricey, but for varied runs and convenience (it is only 20 minutes from Shiroishi Tohoku IC, on route 457), it's a good place to visit before Zao really opens up.

Pretty good resort. It's a little bit small and the courses are a bit short, but it was a fun day. There aren't any particularly challenging courses, but there aren't too many flat spots either. It wasn't very crowded when I went. I'd suggest it if you are tired of going to the same resorts over and over, but I wouldn't suggest going very far out of your way to go.

Good for : beginners/inters

Not good for : people looking for a big challenge.

Not a huge resort but nice all the same.

Superb views too on a clear day.
