Mt Jeans Ski Resort Nasu review
Visited Mt. Jeans in late December, 2008, on the day after a snow storm. I think it may even have been their first or second official day open of the season, due to a late start waiting for snow that year. It was a beautiful, sunny day.

The resort is very easy to get to by car, just 20+ minutes off the Tohoku Expressway. Quicker to get to than Hunter or Edelweiss even if coming from the south,

Nasu Onsen Family review
Nasu Onsen Family ski area is a place to teach your little kid how to do the snowplow and ride a chair lift, while getting your ski legs back after a decade(s)-long hiatus. It doesn't pretend to be more than that (just look at the name), and it is perfect for that.

Not too expensive, reasonable rentals, and small enough that nobody can get lost from view for long.

Safety bars on both lifts.

No snowboarding allowed, though,

I've lived in Tochigi for a few years and never bothered to go after hearing nothing special from people who have been there. As I wrote above there is a very handy shuttle bus service. But for a family going on a holiday and wanting to do an afternoon worth of skiing its o

Good crew, good facilities, good pipe, average snow, shit tabletop, a few rails.

All in all a good place to get into snowboarding.

Easy to get to, and reasonably priced.

See you soon MT Jean

Mt Jeans Ski Resort Nasu review by Nick Mann
Small area with limited but good facilities & very friendly staff.

Runs are poorly laid out on the mountain with some choke points or changes in difficulty during runs.

Man-made snow suppliments limited natural but was in very good condition on the day we skied.
