Ojiro is a small resort on the side of a hill in Hyogo prefecture. We choose this resort because it was a reasonable distance to my parent-in-laws place, and with 6 year olds and under free, the tickets weren't going to be expensive. There is also a 300 yen discount ticket on their brochure. The ticket office is at the gondola base, along with tiolets and a small shop.
You need to take the gondola, up and down over a couple
Over all, I'd say it was a great mountain to be on. It had a pretty good selection of conditions for the limited number of runs it has. They have a decent terrain park and some areas they leave a bit ungroomed so even if there hasn't been snow, there's powder to be had.
It has a bit of a "best kept secret" feel to it, though it is kinda popular. There are plenty of people around but definitely not crowded
When I came to Ojiro I was suprisingly impressed with the resort. the snow quality was great and although the resort is small there is a lot to do here. They have a couple of kickers, boxes and rails for the freestylers. They also have a half pipe, although when I was here it wasn't properly groomed.
The best thing about this place would have to be the relaxed atmosphere. Virtually the entire mountain side
