Nice resort easy to get to from Sendai
This resort was easily accessible by booking a shuttle bus and lift ticket package from the Sendai Tourist Information Desk at Sendai Station for 5,400 yen. The mountain has a similar set up to others around the region like Spring Valley and Sumikawa.

This is a small resort that doesn't offer too much terrain, but enough for a quick day trip. Chairlift F is where you will find the most interesting challenging terrain, and just beside, chairlift E will give you

Spring Valley Izumi Kogen review by shusha
This is my second review and at least 15th time here. I just want to review it for January 2007.

The lack of snow this season has been a problem and itvshows here too. Although it's now up to 100cm there was not a single jump that was open and there are a lot less jumps, bumps and countoring overall than last year - when there were some nice selection dotted around.

Pity it closes when there is still snow about and people willing to spend their yen

Spring Valley Izumi Koge review
Okay, so this is the second time that I've been snowboarding, so anything at the moment is great. It was a bit of a hassle that the bus didnt go up to the top, but from next week it will be. Its greatest asset is that it is easy to get there and doesnt take to long.

The beginner slope was great to learn on and take a few tumbles, however there were a million other people on this slope also

Spring Valley Izumi Kogen review by shush
I had an awesome time here but I have to temper my enthusiasm because I had only ever skiied in Scotland before and Scotland is icy and windy!

The resort is just an hour from our place so easy to get to. 4 lifts with two higher up, a beginners slope (pretty busy) and kids area. Pretty much a family place but the standard of some of the skiers was excellent. The borders were ok but not so good. On the

Spring Valley Izumi Kogen review by akemitakada
Of course it depends on the night's conditions, but the time I went to Spring Valley, it was pretty harsh.

I had a good time exercising and bonding with my friends after work, but the patches of ice can really sneak up on you at night.

There are two main lifts (easy and hard). The snow park was quite built up and pretty cool. It's off to the left side as you are coming down from the bigger lift.
