Visited Nekoma on Christmas Day and was surprised by the difference in quality of snow throughout the resort. The area on the right seemed to be the best, the top copped some sun and slushed up whilst the middle iced up.
The runs up the top are quite steep and very unfortunatley carved into moguls by the skiers, rendering them impossible for boarders. Would be some great runs on a big powder day. This place is more for intermediate, advanced riders
A really nice resort in deepest Fukushima - runs up to about 3.5km, but they are steeper than quite a lot of local competition. It makes it a more challenging resort than others in the area ie Deco, and for that reason alone I like it lots.

I loved this place. This year I have finally advanced past the beginning/intermediate slopes, and am wanting to challenge myself. Nekoma was perfect for this.
I went there once as an absolute beginner, and although it was fun, it's great for intermediate/advanced snowboarders. The selection of runs is fairly good, and although the runs aren't quite as long as I like, they were challenging and quite a bit of fun. I highly recommend it.
