Resort close to Sapporo city
The resort is convenient to Sapporo, public transport is subway to Maruyama-Koen (Tozai Line) & then #14 bus from the bus terminal adjacent to the subway station. The bus stops across the road from stairs leading to the Resort base.

The resort was relatively busy on my visit, up to 10 minutes waiting in the lift line. A lot of the trails are winding ones that children's ski classes take. The open slopes are quick runs back to the base,

Let's Teine Two!
I did a repeat of my day trip here in Feb 2014, stopping off en route from Otaru to Sapporo, and catching the first and therefore busy 09:10 shuttle bus from outside Mister Donuts at Teine station. However, unlike last year, this time I scored some decent conditions with colder temperatures and fresh snow. I headed back up to the Natural Course at the top of the resort and saw that the gate to what I presume were the back

Let's Kokusai!
Visited here on a day trip from Sapporo, using the handy shuttle bus service from one of the downtown hotels, to which I walked from my hostel. The “Bus Pack” cost 4,800Yen which included the return bus journey and day pass. On the day I went the sun was out and warming things up quickly, frustratingly turning the 20-30cm of off-piste snow into sludge. Many of the easily-accessible tree runs were on south-facing slopes so after a few, unsuccessful attempts

Let's Teine!
Had a day here en route from Otaru to Sapporo. Teine station is close to Sapporo station so is easily accessible from there and you can get some cheaper, all-in-one train/lift tickets from Sapporo station though I don't know the details. There’s a bus service from the south exit of Teine station to Teine Highland, departing from the stop outside Mister Donuts. The first bus departs at 09:10 and was busy, even on a Wednesday, so my advice is to

Deep fresh powder!!
Just got back from a trip.

As I don't have a car I got the bus from Maruyama (return bus ticket, day lift pass - ¥4,800) and got there at around 9:30am. Today was a Sunday, so quite busy waiting for the gondola. It hadn't snowed for a few days so I had low expectations.....how wrong I was!! I'm not someone that likes to stay on the courses, especially not today because there were MANY people taking lessons blocking

Short and deep :)
Right, since moving to Sapporo at the end of March 2013, I've now ridden at Teine enough times to get a good feel for the place. One thing that has to be said is that this place is split into two distinct parts.......Olympia and Highland. They are connected by a long and winding cat track. If you are a beginner then Olympia is for you as the pistes are not too steep and are nice and wide........some great groomers to

Sapporo Kokusai review
Had a great day today (Sunday) at Kokusai. We got an all day pass and return bus ticket from Sapporo for 4600 yen each which isn't bad. It was a little crowded but there are quite a few runs and they are reasonably wide so it didn't matter too much (although it was pretty crowded at the lodge).

There was lots of powder on the sides of all of the runs and even a few cms on the groomed runs.

Sapporo Teine review
Just got back a few hours ago from a great day snowboarding at Teine Highlands.

There was lots of powder, especially off-piste. They have a few new off-piste 'Nature Zones' that are great for boarding. It's cool that they actually recommend these new zones even though they have them roped off with signs in English and Japanese saying that it's at your own risk and that if you have an accident and have to be rescued then you will have to

Sapporo Bankei review by Shonan Kuma
I finally got my new skis and bindings all mounted up and decided go for a night ski.

So I headed up to Bankei (only 20 mins from my home).

The place was empty, and the view back to Sapporo was great. But that was about it.

I found the lift was too small (low) as I sat in the chair I had to be careful not to catch the chair on the back of the top of my boots.

For a mid size resort Teine is a great time. The day I went the powder was awesome.

Tree skiing was top notch!

I highly recommend Teine for a day trip

Good hill very close to Sapporo. The ticket I bought was good for both sections of the mountain. You take a gondola from one section to another. White out snow conditions for part of the day. Great powder all day. The highland section was much better than Olympia. The lodge and restaurant situation was not the best.

Highly recommend at least one day here if staying in Sapporo. SO close to the city.

Only been on weeknights, 'casue my buddy used to live in Teine and we'd go on a friday night to warm up for the weekend at other resorts.

The cool thing about T. Highland are the kickers towards the top, the absolutely gorgeous night views of sapporo (imagine hitting a 5m kicker and seeing the city lights glimmering while you r boning your air and free floating!!)

The other cool thing about T. Highland is the one-make contests they have--anyone can
