Yuzawa is a small ski hill located just to the east of central Yuzawa city in the southern region of Akita Prefecture. Not to be confused with the town and ski resorts in Yuzawa town in Niigata Prefecture. For the 2016-2017 season, just the two rope tow style lift will operate.
Akita Prefecture is located in the Tohoku region of northern Honshu. Akita faces the Sea of Japan in the west and is bordered by Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi and Yamagata prefectures from north to south. The region has cold winters and there are numerous ski hills located around the prefecture, though most of them are small scale with just one or two lifts.
Private ski lessons are held at Yuzawa.
Ski equipment rental is available.
There are no special facilities for children.
There are no special snow park facilities.
