Aomori Spring Ski Resort is located on the northern slopes of Mt Iwaki in Ajigasawa town in the western region of Aomori Prefecture. This resort was until recently known as Naqua Shirakami Ski Resort. It is one of the bigger and more well-known ski and snowboard resorts in the northern Tohoku region.
Aomori Prefecture is the northernmost prefecture on the main island of Honshu and borders Akita Prefecture and Iwate Prefecture to the south. Hokkaido is to the north across the Tsugaru Strait. There are a number of ski hills located across Aomori Prefecture, mostly small in scale. The capital, Aomori city, is located in the central area by the shores of Mutsu Bay and to the north of the Hakkoda mountains.

A free shuttle bus is available for hotel guests from Ajigasawa Station and the journey takes about 20 minutes.
A taxi from Hirosaki Station takes about 40 minutes.

Aomori Spring Ski Resort is about 32km from the Owani Hirosaki IC exit on the Tohoku Expressway.
From Hirosaki city head in a north westerly direction the northern area of Mt Iwaki using Prefecture Road 41 and Prefecture Road 30.
At the time of writing (mid May), almost all ski resorts in Japan have closed for the 2016-2017 season.
