Moya Hills is located to the south of Aomori city centre in Aomori Prefecture. It is the closest ski hill to central Aomori. Moya Hills has one quad lift, two pair lifts and two short rope-tows.

Aomori Prefecture is the northernmost prefecture on the main island of Honshu and borders Akita Prefecture and Iwate Prefecture to the south. Hokkaido is to the north across the Tsugaru Strait. There are a number of ski hills located across Aomori Prefecture, mostly small in scale. The capital, Aomori city, is located in the central area by the shores of Mutsu Bay and to the north of the Hakkoda mountains.
