Karuizawa Snow Park is located in Naganohara town in Gunma Prefecture, to the north of the popular Karuizawa town and to the east of Mr Asama. It is mainly a family-oriented ski hill with a winter 'dog run' as well for those pets who enjoy the snow. The ski hill first opened in 1999.

Gunma Prefecture is located in the north west area of Kanto region on the main island of Honshu and shares borders with Niigata Prefecture to the north and Nagano Prefecture to the west. There are over 20 ski and snowboard resorts in Gunma Prefecture and they are mainly concentrated in the northern regions of Minakami and Katashina and the western region of the Prefecture.

Karuizawa Snow Park is just over 30k from the Usui Karuizawa IC of the Joshinetsu Expressway.

Head north out of central Karuizawa town on Route 146 and follow the signs. The ski hill is less than 6km off the main road.

Parking is available for about 450 vehicles at the base of Karuizawa Snow Park.

There is no parking charge - it is free every day of the season.
