Tambara Ski Park is located to the north of Numata city in the northern region of Gunma Prefecture. It is close to Tambara Dam and lake. Tambara Ski Park has been operating since 1988. In summer the Lavendar Park at Tambara is popular.
Gunma Prefecture is located in the north west area of Kanto region on the main island of Honshu and shares borders with Niigata Prefecture to the north and Nagano Prefecture to the west. There are over 20 ski and snowboard resorts in Gunma Prefecture and they are mainly concentrated in the northerns regions of of Minakami and Katashina and over to the west in Kusatsu.

'Tambara Snow Land' is located at the base of the resort near the car park and offers a tubing area as well as sledging, snow striders and a place to play in the snow. There is also a moving 'snow escalator'. Charges are 1,200 yen for a full day and 800 yen for a half day (800 yen and 600 yen for people with a valid 1 day lift ticket).
The 'Tambara Beginner Park' features a 700m long wave course and the 'Joyful Park' features kickers, boxes and more.

Tambara Ski Park is located to the north of Numata and is about 19km from the Numata IC exit on the Kanetsu Expressway.
From the Numata IC exit turn right and then right again at the first traffic lights. Follow this road for about 2km until reaching Prefecture Road 266. Turn right onto Prefecture Road and head north. This road continues right up to the base of the Tambara Ski Park. In peak season and cold conditions the road up there can get very icy, snow tyres are really needed.
