Megahira Onsen Megahira (often just known as Megahira) is located in Hatsukaichi city to the north-west of Hiroshima city in the western region of Hiroshima Prefecture. It is less than two kilometres from the Yoshiwa exit on the Chugoku Expressway. Along with Mominoki Shinrin Koen it is one of the closest ski hills to central Hiroshima city.
Hiroshima Prefecture is in the Chugoku region of western Japan. The capital city, Hiroshima, is on the southern coastline by the Seto Inland Sea. The two main regions of Hiroshima Prefecture where most of the ski hills can be found are the north-western region around Kita Hiroshima town and the north-eastern region of Shobara city.

Ski and snowboard equipment rental is available. Ski and snowboard wear and sledge rental is also available.
There is a sledging area by the Family Course in the base area of the resort.

Megahira Onsen Megahira is generally open from 8am until 5pm on weekdays and from 8am until 6pm on weekends. There is sometimes 'all night' operations on Saturdays.

The 9 Hour ticket is valid for 9 hours from the time of purchase. The 6 Hour ticket is valid for 6 hours from the time of purchase. The 4 Hour ticket is valid for 4 hours from the time of purchase. The 3 Hour ticket is valid for 3 hours from the time of purchase.
A 500 yen entry charge included in the above charges.

There are some bus services going to the resort including from Hiroshima Station.

Megahira Onsen Megahira is less than 2km from the Yoshiwa IC exit on the Chugoku Expressway.
From the Yoshiwa IC exit turn right and then quickly right once again to head towards the centre of Yoshiwa. The ski hill is just off Prefecture Road 296 to the north of the town area.
Parking is available for 1,300 vehicles at the base of the ski hill. Parking is free and open 24 hours a day.
At the time of writing (3rd April 2017), many ski resorts in Japan have closed for the 2016-2017 season - though some remain open. Season dates shown on these pages are the original planned dates and subject to change.
