Chikusa Kogen is located in Shiso city in the western region of Hyogo Prefecture between Mt Okinoyama and Mt Nabegatani.
Hyogo Prefecture is located in the Kansai region of western Japan. It stretches the width of the country and has a coastline both on the Sea of Japan to the north and on the Seto Inland Sea to the south. Most of the ski and snowboard resorts in Hyogo Prefecture are located in the northern region of the Prefecture.

The 'Chikumin Park' (Kids Park) is near the base of the resort. Entry is 700 yen for children and 500 yen for adults.
The 'Snow Park' is in the central area of Chikusa Kogen.

Nighta is on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Thursday 22nd December, Monday 9th January and Monday 20th March 2017. There is no nighta on 31st December and 1st January.

A number of special family tickets are available.
Skiers Day is every Thursday. On those days a 1 day ticket for skiers is 2,000 yen.
Snowboarders Day is every Friday. On those days a 1 day ticket for snowboarders is 2,000 yen.
Ladies Day and Junior Day is every weekday. On those days a 1 day ticket for ladies and juniors is 2,000 yen.
Senior is every Tuesday. On those days a 1 day ticket for seniors is 2,000 yen.
And apparently, if you are a beautician or barber, you can get a lift ticket for 2,000 yen on Mondays as it is Stylist Day
A season ticket that is valid at 5 resorts in Hyogo Prefecture is available. The normal charge for this season ticket is 40,800 yen for adults and 20,800 yen for children. The resorts where this ticket is valid are:

No shuttle bus service from local stations is available.

Chikusa Kogen is about 33km from the Ohara IC exit on the Tottori Expressway to the north and about 39km from the Sayo IC on the Chugoku Expressway to the south.
From the Sayo IC exit turn right onto Route 373 and after 2km turn left onto Route 179, then Prefecture Road 53 (a further 4km) and then Prefecture Road 72 (a further 9km). Continue on Road 72 - the ski hill is located by the side of road on the left hand side, with the main parking on the right hand side.
Parking is free on weekdays and 500 yen on Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays and over the New Year.
At the time of writing (mid May), almost all ski resorts in Japan have closed for the 2016-2017 season.
