Hachimantai Resort Panorama is located in the north-western region of Hachimantai city in Iwate Prefecture. It is close to Hachimantai Resort Shimokura - the runs are not actually physically connected, but the resorts share a lift ticket and there is a free shuttle bus service between the two resort areas.
Iwate Prefecture is located in the Tohoku region of the main island of Honshu. Morioka is the capital city. Most of the ski and snowboard hills in Iwate Prefecture are located in the western mountainous regions, near to the border with Akita Prefecture. Aomori Prefecture is to the north and Miyagi Prefecture is to the south of Iwate.

The 'Beginner Park' is located near base - free for those with valid tickets, otherwise 2,000 yen for adults and 1,500 yen for children. 'Hachimantai Winter Land' is located in front of the resort hotel and if free to enter. Child-care service is available in the resort hotel. Reservations required - half day 3,000 yen; full day 4,500 yen.
The 'Super Long Cross Park' is located by the Number 1 pair lift. There is also a 'Beginner Park'.

Nighta is until 8pm and open every day from 23rd December 2016 until 2nd January 2017 and then every Saturday and holiday until 19th March 2017.

From the Matsuo Hachimantai IC exit, take the Prefecture Road 45 south to get to the resort area.
