Kamui Misaka is located in Fuefuki city in Yamanashi Prefecture.
Artificial snow making machines are used extensively at Kamui Misaka with any heavy natural snowfall being a bonus. It takes about 90 minutes to get to Kamui Misaka from central Tokyo so it is a popular day trip from the capital. The courses are suited mainly for beginners, and there is one course (Family Course) that is skiers-only.
Kamui Misaka has been operating since 1988.

Kamui Misaka is just a few hundred metres off Route 137 (also known as Misaka-michi) in Fuefuki.
The closest exit on an expressway is the Ichinomiya Misaka IC of the Chuo Expressway which is 10km to the north west of the resort.
To the south is the Kawaguchiko IC on the Chuo Expressway Fujiyoshida section, about 17km away.
At the time of writing (mid May), almost all ski resorts in Japan have closed for the 2016-2017 season.
