Good morning from Appi,

Yesterday was a bit of a surprise for us with around 12cm of fresh snow falling on our resort from around 10am until late evening. Visibility on the mountain itself was very restricted sometimes with the wind picking up and hampering any activity whatsoever.

Today is mostly sunny with light and variable winds with no anticipated snowfall. Tomorrow should be the same with sunny skies forecast until mid afternoon at least. Tomorrow night promises another 10+cm of snow and looking further into the week we should have a banner Friday night with 20+cm heading our way.

The mountain is in fairly good condition with some of the Second and Sailer runs still threadbare in places and some vegetation poking its way through the snow still. Maybe this weekend we’ll see an end to that and we may even see all of the runs open. Most of the runs by mid afternoon had a nice powder coating on them making for good afternoon skiing especially since there seemed to be no one here.

Expect light crowds today and lots of fun if you’re coming.
