After the scattered snow showers we saw yesterday, the precipitation turned to rain overnight following a rise in temperatures. It's currently 13 C, an almost 10 degree jump since yesterday. The rain has stopped for now, and we've got a beautiful blue sky out there. However, the rain is scheduled to return later this afternoon, so if you're into the undoubtedly spring-like skiing available after the rain we saw last night, the weather will be warm and sunny for a few more hours. The winds are gusting about today, so please do be wary on open terrain.

A front passing through the area is bringing all this rain. It should move through the Furano valley around midnight, with falling temperatures and rain transitioning to snow/wintry mixes in its wake. Tomorrow looks to be significantly colder than today with a mix of rain/snow in the forecast.
