The slopes were bustling this morning! A clear and cold dawn has given way to scattered snow showers with occasional bursts of sunshine, and it looks like everyone in town has decided to hit the slopes. This means the lift lines are a bit longer than usual, but for good reason; it's absolutely beautiful out there today. Temperatures have warmed up to -10 after an overnight low bottoming out around -20.

Afternoon highs should top out around -7 with more of the same scattered snow showers/occasional breaks in the cloud that is typical for February in Furano. The few fresh centimeters that fell overnight have been chopped up for the most part, but there's still some powder waiting on the less traversed runs, especially the courses that connect the Furano and Kitanomine Zone sides. The lower half of Furano Zone has been pretty skied out, but the upper portion of the mountain still has plenty of surprises in store. A few more snow showers should soften things up, but we aren't expected too much in the way of significant snowfall. The good news is that there are few if any icy patches, making for great carving weather.
