No new snow today, but beautiful clear skies all through the morning and early PM. Things have taken a bit of a turn for the worse with a light drizzle coming down from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with signs of continuing until this evening. I haven't been out in the rain, but reportedly there is a bit coming down at the top of the ropeway, which means that the full mountain is likely getting wet.

Nonetheless spring conditions remain very strong, with no signs of melt-through on the Kitanomine side, which gets the most direct sun. The resort is reporting a 240 cm accumulation at the top, with measurements of a strong 160 cm at the base.

Looks like winter might have one last blast yet. We are looking at a cold front moving in this weekend, with temps hitting a frosty -7 and hopefully bringing more of the white.

Think Snow. Think Powder. Think a little more winter!
