The rain has lifted for now, and the sun is trying its best to peak through those high and wispy clouds, but don't be fooled. This break in the weather is only temporary. A large weather system churning it's way through the Sea of Japan is heading straight for Central Hokkaido. In a few hours, we should see rain showers building up, then steadily transitioning over to snow during the evening. This storm will usher in some much-needed arctic air, driving tomorrow's daytime temperatures down to a chilly -3 for the afternoon hours. Depending on where the heavy snow bands hit, this could put Furano over the top and ready to open early this week.

It's currently a balmy 8 degrees outside right now, but expect that to drop quickly come nightfall. Snow is in the forecast all day for tomorrow with plenty of chances for snow throughout the week.
