Good morning from Grandeco.

Some blue skies this morning though lots of cloud too. 8cm of fresh snow has fallen last night and it is very light powder snow, good quality stuff so the courses are getting soft again rather than icy.

Many hikers are climbing up to Mt. Nishidaiten this morning with snowshoes. Don't forget to bring your maps, GPS, foods and extra warm clothing when you hike up. The mountain climbing report sheet is located in ski centre, so please apply before start climbing. The snow around the Mt. Nishidaiten peak will be very soft powder snow that your foot will considerably sink in, even you are wearing snowshoes.

Snow should start falling again around Tuesday, with sunshine forecast until then.

It is a good day for skiing and boarding.
