Hello from Hakuba.

Yesterday was a fine day weather wise. Hardly any wind, blue skies, sunshine with some cloud. It looked pretty busy as well out there on the slopes as you might expect - and today will surely be a lively day too.

Earlier there was more cloud around but the sun is out now with quite a lot of blue sky and some thin cloud up there. It's going to be another fine day with temperatures rising to around 6C at base this afternoon.

We'd all prefer temperatures in the negative numbers and more blizzard-like weather, right? (Yep, thought so!)

Some lower slopes are looking a bit sad right now as the snow gets real thin on the ground. Luckily we have decent vertical here in Hakuba, so there's decent snow cover on upper areas and not a worry there.

Tomorrow should be colder. And there should be snow in the mix too. And after that the forecast has more snow lined up on Wednesday and Thursday as well - so it could be what we are waiting for.

In the meantime, it might be busy today but there's fun to be had and it sure beats sitting in front of a computer screen. See you out there.
