Finally we got another huge snowfall with cars absolutely covered this morning and wading to the car is always a good start to the day.

There is around 40 cms on the tops of cars this morning and Hakuba Goryu resort has reported a whopping 80 cm of fresh new snow with mad powder out there this morning. The groomers are getting another good layer right now as well and all of this of course will help especially on the bottom runs which were a bit thin on the ground until now.

All resorts are today reporting large amounts of new snowfall, around 50cm or so, another notable is the increase in snow shown at Tsugaike Kogen which is now boasting 275cm on it's upper slopes.

Everyone was getting edgy for snow with continual teasers on the reports and so it was definitely a morning where smiles could be seen pretty much everywhere you look.

Snowflakes are still falling in the valley and not the best visibility above 1600.

Next solid snowfall on the forecast at the moment is Sun night, perhaps some snow showers and changing conditions before then.

Hope the powder sticks got a workout! People able to get out on the slopes today are the lucky ones. Enjoy the top conditions.
