There's lots of cloud hanging around the mountains this morning. Some places up on the resorts this morning are in deep foggy-like conditions, while others offer fine clear views of the valley with blue sky. I think that the remaining cloud will likely move on leaving us with generally clear conditions today.

As in many areas, conditions yesterday were... not nice. Happo-one resort even closed mid-morning not to reopen due to the unpleasant weather conditions.

There's no new snow to report this morning -- and thankfully no more rain either! That finished up last night but some damage to the snow conditions is inevitable. I'd expect some 'noisy' snow conditions this morning. Good practice, though I'm sure we would all prefer some soft powder to play in.

But anyway today should be a nice day out especially if it clears up more.

The Kashimayari resort today opens for the season - they are moving their Number 2 lift with a 400m 'Course 2' run open.

On the subject of soft powder, the forecast is still looking pretty good from Wednesday onwards...

Enjoy the weekend.
