Yesterday the snow started to fall late morning and it was fairly snowy and white/grey conditions out there for most of the day. Didn't amount to much though in terms of new cm. Really busy too with lots of people turning up for the long weekend.

No real snow to report from overnight apart from a dusting on the windscreen this morning but we have seen flakes begin to fall this morning with very light snowfall now. Visibility is not the best and is decreasing as the snow and clouds pick up.

No wind at all early on, 0m/s at Happo-ike (2080m), 1m/s SE at Usagi-daira (1400m), cold temperatures with -7 at 1400m but already warmed up to -1 at 760m after a low of -6 at 7:00AM.

The forecast is for snow to continue with snowfall increasing this afternoon and overnight so tomorrow morning should be good for a fine new layer of fresh powder. Snow is also forecast for Monday night/Tuesday morning.

It will be super busy today as well, watch out for out-of-controllers especially if visibility decreases at lower altitudes and enjoy!
