Morning everyone.

Quite a few cars approaching from both the north and south this morning as people arrive for the start of this long and popular weekend.

A bunch of fine weather is forecast for the long weekend. This morning there has been a lot of cloud around but it seems to be starting to clear with more blue sky appearing. It's a cold start and temperatures will end up somewhere around zero in the village during the day.

In specific resort news, the top Riesen Grat course at Happo-one should be open from 11am this morning. Hurray!

So just to recap on the situation in general. Pretty much everywhere is open with plenty of good snow higher on the mountains and just a few courses not yet managing to open. The ski resort in the region with the most area 'unopen' is Hakuba Iwatake where both the Village Side and Mountain Side remain just part open. It'd be great if we could get everything 100% fully open, but some more decent snowfall is needed for that.

Next snowfall is due on Tuesday. Before then calm and settled weather - and busy ski resorts!

Have a good one.
