Blizzard conditions continuing today meaning deserted slopes, wind-affected lifts, and whiteout conditions, but lots and lots of powder.

Over at Happo, the lower areas were riding extremely deep with huge overhead rooster tails following todays boarders. The upper lifts managed to start briefly around 3pm, before white-out conditions and stiff gusts stopped them once more. When you see the lift in front swinging over 30 degrees to the vertical, you don't complain when they get closed down. During the brief time those lifts were going, we and maybe ten whooping others were lucky enough to catch a couple of runs down Kurobishi which was wide, smooth, and totally bottomless. That slope will have been severely mogulled on Monday's holiday bluebird, so the upper slopes must have had 70cm plus since then. Either way, it was gorgeous under board.

Early morning, 47 Line E was out of operation, but the Goryu lifts were apparently going all day.

The winds have abated at village level, but the storm continues and it's still coming down. The weather forecast is a procession of snowmen.....
