Yesterday there was some periods of blue sky opening up and even a bit of sunshine in the morning, but it was mostly a cloudy day with hardly any wind.

No fresh snowfall is being reported from around the resorts this morning, with the total snowfall being reported by the reports for the season now ranging from 203cm to 325cm (in the four that I currently feature in the below table):

I don't know why but the numbers for Tsugaike Kogen do not seem to be updating (by that, I mean the source information that I manually check). I will ask a few questions about it, but for now in order to avoid misunderstandings I am taking the Tsugaike Kogen row out of the above data table. Don't worry, I will re-instate it once it gets updating again.

This morning it is mostly cloudy with some light snow in places too.

Most importantly we are expecting snowfall today. So, come on... over this way, please!

I am noticing that the Tsugaike Ropeway is being shown as operating this morning, but scouring the Tsugaike website I cannot find any associated details. I will try to follow up on that.

* The table within the above report contains data that is published by individual ski resorts
* The data shown is the amount of snowfall that the ski resorts are themselves reporting each 24 hour period on the upper areas of their mountain
* The source ‘new snowfall’ data and ‘total accumulation’ data is not updated at the same time
* The ‘new snowfall’ data is updated in the morning
* The ‘accumulation’ data is apparently updated/refreshed at midnight
* That means that there is a time lag between the two numbers being updated
* We manually check and update the data just before we publish each Hakuba Now report - so the data in each Hakuba Now report table is what is available at that time
* Any odd-looking numbers are due to the source data. We are not responsible for and have no control over the data. We are simply sharing the data with you
