Another snowy morning in Kiroro with 9cm fresh recorded at the station and snow falling as I type. It is particularly cold still, with temperatures hovering around -10 and winds are moderate with strong gusts adding that extra chill. The base is great for this time of year and a lot of the side and backcountry terrain for which Kiroro is famous for is filling in and becoming more accessible.

Forecasts suggest snowfall to get heavier throughout the course of the day, and with that visibility will become less clear as the day progresses.

Night skiing is operating until 7pm on the Center Express and Family chairs for those looking for some evening laps to kick start the weekend.

On the topic of weekends, I expect more of the same in tomorrow’s report and Sunday’s report – simple, consistent heavy snowfall. The storm should ease early next week.
