I was hoping the snowplows would wake me up way early this morning (and I thought that, with the low snow this season, the plow drivers would be ready to go no matter how low the snowfall). But, apparently, there are minimums to be observed, and 13cm was not enough to send the diesel beasts out to scrape the asphalt.

It may not be much, but it is beautiful snow. Had to pull the loupe out for a close look, and today we have absolutely perfect snowflakes. Christmas-card quality, tiny six-armed stars (and some not so tiny). Too bad there wasn't about 60cm of this; it would be perfect fluffy powder snow.

But we're thankful for whatever we can get this season, and it feels like any snowfall could be the last. So I'm out now to test the performance of those flakes....
