Heavy rains overnight, with some really strong winds that threw shovels all over the yard and really seemed like it would remove roofing panels (we didn’t even light the wood stove).

The heavy rain tapered off this morning, and is now turning to snow. Which is much more pleasant - and needed; note the continuing loss of snowpack.

Off to the Yama no Kami (Mountain God) event, where we will all be doing our best to plead for a little less exciting weather. Oh, and expect those positive temperatures to go negative as the freezing line comes down the mountain; it’s already given us a good, thick fog as the air cools.
