Today is a day for a traffic warning, not a snow report, because today's special is freezing rain. It seems cold enough to be snowing, but it must be warm up in the clouds, because rain is falling and coating a lot of things — including lift cables. The Akakan lifts, at least, were stopped due to glazing (haven't heard from the others yet), although everything except the top lift was running by 11 a.m. The roads, too, are not as bad as the ice-covered cars would indicate.

It seems like mostly the massive school groups who are out today in the gloomy fog and rain. It's not much of a day for skiing, with poor visibility, icing and that lovely wet cold of the maritime region. The weather report is for this all to start turning back to snow by the afternoon, which would be a very, very welcome sight!
