OK, I can take a little time to sit down and talk weather in Myoko with you today. And it doesn't look so pretty, especially after such a nice day yesterday - for snowshoeing, at least, although I hear things got a bit sloppy out in the off-piste world.

The day started sunny but very windy; the wind is still blowing, but the storm clouds are gathering. It's already raining or snowing at the top of Mt. Myoko. If the freezing line forecast is accurate it could be rain almost all the way to the peak. Then once again that line is going to crash down to sea level, and the snow will be falling again. Pretty crazy. Hopefully the rain will move through quickly so we can get back to the white goodness.

With the winds, watch for potential lift closures, especially No. 3 at the top of Suginohara, and the gondola there and at Akakan (and I just heard that No. 3 is in fact closed...)
