A late report today, after some really good snow on Wednesday. The Myoko Tourist website is the earliest with new information, which goes up from the resorts as soon as they submit it, with a full report coming later. But even the full report seems a little conservative on the new snowfall last night. I would have estimated 30+ cm at base, judging from the evening snowblowing, as well as some great onpiste skiing in powder yesterday. But none of the resorts reported more than 20cm of new (well, Suginohara did, but they were already 30cm or so below all other areas).

Well, give them credit for not inflating the news, and congratulations to those lucky skiers who enjoyed the "10-20 cm of new snow." I say there was more!

We could still use some more before the New Year's crowds rush in, but the conditions are much better than a few days ago. Temperatures have stayed down, for good snow conditions, even excellent on higher runs.
